About Us

Churchfield Nursing Home is an independent care home with a team of highly skilled professionals who understand the support needed to enhance the lives of our residents and create a thriving happy home.

Led by Home Manager Sharon Tomé, we offer residential care support for up to 60 people as well as additional nursing support for residents with specialist conditions, as well as for those living with dementia or a physical disability. We also offer respite care to carers and family members in need of temporary support, and palliative care provided with dignity and compassion.

Our Approach

We take the time to listen to our residents and their families to prepare personalised care plans, delivered and regularly reviewed by our dedicated and compassionate team who are invested in delivering our high standards.

Such standards are evident throughout the Home from our quality menus to our diligent house-keeping.   Our purpose is to provide caring, happy and comfortable surroundings where our residents can thrive and enjoy a full and active lifestyle. We understand the transition to living in a care home can be a complicated one, and do our utmost to ensure it is a simple and pleasant process.

Daily Life

No two days at Churchfield are the same! We offer residents a packed programme of stimulating weekly activities designed to cater for all tastes, interests and hobbies, for novices and enthusiasts alike.   Our core programme includes games days, baking, art, Fun Fridays and themed events.  However, we always ensure residents have the opportunity to pitch in ideas for activities or days out they would like to happen.

Residents are also encouraged to maintain their spiritual care with regular visits arranged by clergy from all denominations.

Local Facilities

Situated off the B6020 Churchfield Care Home is conveniently located in the heart of the village of Rainworth.   Close to the A617 the nearest towns are Mansfield and Sutton in Ashfield, whilst Nottingham is an eleven-mile drive.

The village offers a good range of amenities with the health centre and shops nearby but it’s the community spirit that attracts people to the location.  Churchfield Care Home plays a big role in the local community and the village regularly hosts events which residents attend and likewise, local residents are very supportive of our Summer Fairs and gatherings.

“Every member of staff made us feel confident and secure in the care they gave to our father. Their unwavering kindness and compassion played a huge part in enabling him to return home after being in hospital. They always offered a warm welcome with good advice and we never had any doubts about the care and support they gave our dad.”

Resident's Daughter

“My aunt suffers from severe dementia and delirium. Consequently, she can be unpredictable in her moods and is at times difficult and mildly aggressive. Having visited several care homes before selecting Churchfield Care Home, I remain convinced that I made the right choice. She is cared for with great compassion, patience and understanding.  As a regular visitor to see my aunt, my family and I have nothing but praise and affection for all the staff at the home.”

Resident's Niece

“All staff members are very professional and caring towards our relative and family, they are all very approachable we feel we can spend quality time with our relative as all her needs are met. Thank you all for caring for our relative and making her happy, we are so pleased she came to this care home.”
